The Pyramid of Djoser (or Djeser and Zoser), or step pyramid (kbhw-ntrw in Egyptian) is an archeological remain in the Saqqara necropolis, Egypt, northwest of the city of Memphis. It was built ca. 27th century BC during the Third dynasty for the burial of Pharaoh Djoser by his vizier, Imhotep. The pyramid is the central feature of a vast mortuarycomplex in an enormous courtyard surrounded by ceremonial structures and decoration.

The Pyramid in Giza are considered the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the Great Pyramid in the complex was, for a while, the tallest man-made structure with 146 meters of height. There is a total of 5 pyramids across the complex, the main pyramid was made for the pharaoh Khufu and his wife as tombs. The rest of the pyramids were built for Khufu's sons
